In a small village at the foot of Mount Fuji, where pine and cedar forests whisper throughout the year, there stood a family wood workshop passed down through three generations. Unlike the brightly lacquered clogs found in bustling cities, the master craftsman here remained devoted to only one design: the Hiyori Geta — traditional two-tooth wooden clogs that preserve the natural light wood tone and graceful organic grain patterns.
The pair displayed on the shelf today featured wide black leather straps, firmly secured with shining brass studs. A beauty that was neither flashy nor extravagant — simply solid, balanced, and timeless.
Yuki, a young woman who had just left the chaos of Tokyo in search of inner peace, gently slipped her feet into the wooden clogs. As she took her first steps along the pebble pathway leading to the Zen garden, she suddenly paused.
The parallel two-tooth wooden base required the wearer to keep their back straight, walk slowly, and distribute body weight naturally and mindfully. While wearing these Geta, one simply could not rush.
